new dial faces

We are in the process of setting up to produce new dial faces.

Estimated to be available end January 2022.

By using top quality colour-matched paints and inks, we are aiming to produce faces that are virtually indistinguishable from the original items.

The process is quite lengthy and  begins with the digital scanning of an original face, from which printed acetate negative is produced.
Then this acetate is used in conjunction with a specially coated plate and machinery to produce the final printing plate.

This plate is then used in either a screen or pad printing method to apply the design to the previously painted face blanks to produce the finished item.

Each printed colour requires a separate printing plate to be made.
