Please note that we only work on the SMITHS manufactured MOTORCYCLE instruments with Magnetic type movements - the SSM & RSM type.
These were fitted on BSA, Triumph, Norton, Royal Enfield models and also some Ducati and Laverda models.
From 1964 onwards most SMITHS motorycycle instruments were of the Magnetic Movement type and can be identified by having SSM (speedometer shallow magnetic) or RSM ( rev-counter shallow magnetic) at the beginning of the part number on the dial face.

Restoration or Reproduction?
SMITHS instruments were quality manufactured products and the original items are easily recognisable against the new reproduction offerings now available. To fit one of these reproduction items could actually decrease the value of your investment as it can make people rightly think " what else has been scrimped on? " Properly functioning instruments also contribute to the safe operation of your motorcycle and preservation of you driving licence.
